With a high-end look for a low-end price, you can never go wrong with H&M. And now that their SS11 lookbook is out, let’s take a look at the lust-worthy pieces we’re dying to wear come Spring! Check out the silhouettes and colors that H&M brings.
This Spring, H&M is bringing back shapes and styles from the 60’s and 70’s. The colors are so vibrant that it gives us a breath of fresh air from the gloomy cold season we’ve been having. Last season’s trends are incorporated into the H&M SS11 collection with updates to give us that easy transition into Spring.
60’s and 70’s-Inspired
H&M’s Spring/Summer 2011 lookbook is very 60’s and 70’s inspired. We see a lot of light weight and flowy fabrics in their long dresses that is one of the must-have pieces in this collection. Aside from the maxi dresses, H&M’s cute jackets, sharp patterns and bold patterns exude that 60’s and 70’s vibe.
Long Dresses and Skirts
Maxi dresses may be a trend from the past season but it’s still very prominent this coming Spring. H&M brings long and flowy dresses that exude femininity and drama.
Camel and Neutral Colors
The camel and neutral colors may be a hot trend from previous seasons, but they are still going strong this Spring. H&M incorporates this color in jackets and two-piece outfits such as mod shorts and tops.
Oranges, Corals and Pinks
We know that orange, blues and whites are the must-have colors this Spring. H&M SS11 made sure to incorporate those colors along with beiges and crisp whites in their collection. I’m pretty sure you’ve got a lot of crisp whites and beiges in your wardrobe already. So I suggest getting an orange, coral or pink shade from H&M SS11 collection for a pop of color!
