Bet you didn’t know that San Francisco is one of the most stylish cities in the US! In such a hilly, windy city with musical and art prominence deeply rooted in its history, SF is one of those rare, intellectual cities with diverse groups of people with all types of style—chic and unique—on the streets! Chictopia is proud to bring to you the fashionable outfits seen in SF to Chictopia’s Everybody Is Ugly on Fridays!
Danielle
Even though Danielle is visiting SF from Australia, she definitely fits in with style in the bay. “It’s so cold right now!”, says Daniel after getting used to the bipolar weather of the city. She does a great job in layering the simplest pieces of clothing. Here she’s mixing the classic punk look, peek-a-booing with a beige top she got at what is called Bondi Markets in Sydney, Australia. The fuzzy, warm, cropped black jumper stands out the most in this look. Jumpers are a must have this spring.
Alex
Colored hair seems to be making a big statement this spring, especially when it’s along my favorite colors; teal, turquoise, blue blue blue, etc. Alex here is comfortably casual with his sweater found at local thrift store. He says “thrift all the way!”. I feel that patterns can never go out of style, even when pairing it with clothing items that are along the same, dark, color palette. The style of the past is always revived whether we want it or not, the 80s and 90s sweater/cardigan will never fade in style, especially here in SF.
Bryanna
Sometimes colorless fashion is the best way to stand out. Bryanna, now an SF native, says her “inspiration is classic style.” She’s wearing some beautiful neutral-toned pieces that almost remind me of earth-toned colors as well. Her vintage victorian-ruffle-neck-lace blouse is my favorite, along with that Anthropologie blazer. The scuffed-up vintage heels make me nostalgic, because I remember having a pair just like that as a kid, as I’m sure many of you did too.
Kristin
Knowing SF weather, you always need a little sweater to have on you just in case that cold breeze comes along on a sunny day. Here, Kristin is channeling the season of Spring with her sweater by Tina over an H&M maxi dress. Spring colors are apparent with the classic rosie pink and teal mixed with neutral colors. There’s a bit of clashing prints that I love in this outfit; stripes along with floral print. You can’t go wrong with throwing on a fedora. Totally SF, right?
Alex
Brown, another earth-tone has been one of my favorite colors this spring. It’s sticks to the urban style, but showcases that casual everyday look. Alex has on a lovely, light brown jacket that she bought in a market in Hong Kong; as well as her brown cowboy-styled boots. Her teal top is from Agent Ninetynine. I love the mix of this color with any type of earth-tone. It gives off these Native American vibes, especially when wearing a big beaded necklace. She is also spotted wearing some blue jeans from Zara. Alex seems to be an internationally styled lady! I wonder what she’ll buy in SF to showcase back in Sydney Australia.
