I’m in the mood for studs. This hardware embellishment has stayed consistently in style for seasons, updating itself by changing its numbers and locations.
Christopher Kane introduced some blingy embellishments on the kneecaps of jeans for Spring 2012. This DIY is as easy as 1-2-3 and will update a pair of your jeans in no time.
I loved wearing mine with a huge studded belt, a button down, and some crystal amulets for a southwestern vibe, and I can’t wait to try them with a delicate lace blouse, a leather jacket, and a huge scarf!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Assorted Iron-On Studs
- Blue Jeans
- An Iron and an Ironing Board
TUTORIAL:
[ARRANGE] – Lay your jeans down flat on your ironing board. Arrange studs on each knee cap in a wide band. Scatter some other studs up and down the leg too!
[IRON] – Take a look at the directions on the iron-on studs for which temperature to use. I used the highest temperature on my iron. Hold your iron over the studs in sections for about 15 seconds. Repeat until all of the studs are secured.
[REPEAT] – Repeat steps one and two on the back of the legs.
